Description
RSVP HERE!
Here you will find all the info for Woods Flock’s FREE casual campout at Fall Creek Falls we are having in lieu of the mini-con (“Camp Cosmic,” which will now take place in 2027) this year, after the venue reservation was cancelled (that announcement here).
Location is Eli Field at Fall Creek Falls, which is just down the road from Newton Ford (WF’s normal home which was closed). Eli Field is primitive camping only, no RVs/hookups, no other lodging (though attendees may still book outside accommodations if they want), and anyone camping should bring all their own gear (you can find a suggested packing list HERE). There are flush toilets & sinks and communal water spigots & firepits. The pavilion will be for board gaming, art jamming, eating, or sheltering during inclement weather.
There are NO MEAL PLANS but there will be one group potluck and some communal food, but please be prepared to feed yourself outside of that. Please fill out THIS FORM if you think you will attend, even if you aren’t positive you can make it. All Woods Flock Code of Conduct & Liability applies when attending this event.
ARRIVAL AND PARKING INFO:
Click the link to Google Maps and will take you right to the pinned spot where we will be set up! There is no address which will lead you directly there but you should be able to pull it up on GPS. You should see signs for Eli Field regardless of which direction you are coming from along the loop. It is not too far from Newton Ford Lodge, so if you have attended Woods Flock before you shouldn’t have much trouble. If all else fails, stop at the Park visitor center to ask for directions.
We ask you not come to Eli Field before 3pm on Friday, however you are welcome to enjoy the other areas of the park.
There is a parking lot beside the pavilion, which we prefer you leave for any artists/makers who plan to set up to sell on Saturday. Otherwise, you can park on the edge of the field/road that runs between the field and pavilion. We will have volunteers to help direct parking but ask that you try to park at a diagonal, as close to another car as possible without impeding door usage. Please do not park DIRECTLY in front of the pavilion unless you are a volunteer/staff member.
Friday we are sharing the camping field with at least one other group. They will have the section of field closer to the bathrooms, so please try not to walk through their area on your way there. This also means we will be fairly strict about noise after 10pm on Friday. Saturday night we will have the field to ourselves so we will be a bit more lenient, but still ask folks to respect quiet hours from midnight to 6am.
Dates are Apr 10-12,
Arrive 3pm (or later) Friday and you should be packed up and leaving by 12:00 (noon) on Sunday.
